Party Bowl
Handbuild, stoneware bowls with painted and hand carved, very hand fashioned concentric rings.
I originally made this bowl, via much trial and error, in my first handbuilding class with Anna Highsmith. The class focused on pattern making and functional ware and was the class that threw me into this work that I love so much.
I have a few of these in my cabinets at home and use them for salads, yogurt and its accoutrements, half a bagel … it's a solid, mid sized bowl for all of your solid, mid sized eating needs.
This color way is an experiment of inlaying dried colored slip chips into the surface of the slab of clay. It's very Neapolitan ice cream to me … Neapolitan ice cream confetti.
Measures: 6.25" x 6.25" x 1.75"
All pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe, tho handwashing is recommended.
