It’s sometimes hard to know and other times hard to pull back from adding too many lines and texture to a sgrafitto piece. It’s easy to blow out simple shapes and sometimes the tool slips and just obliterates key pieces of the composition. There are a lot of new moments in this piece that I will use moving forward … more textures all the time (within reason … …).
Wheel thrown, stoneware bowl with town theme carved into colored slip and underglaze. Interior is glazed with Anyhow Studio’s London Fog.

All work is dishwasher and microwave safe.
