Button Flowers

All of the flowers and plants on the mugs and bowls are freehand. I don't go in with a plan, maybe an inkling of an idea … but mostly I just trust my gut and go for it.

These particular flowers are pulling from felt flowers my friend Kath made a few years back. They're such a nice interplay of circles that can easily stack and be repeated with structural leaves.

Wheel thrown mug painted in layered colored slip, carved using the sgraffito method and then lines are etched in and inlaid with matching colored slip.

Piece measures: 3.75" x 3.75"(5.5" with handle) x 3"

Microwave and dishwasher safe tho handwashing is recommended.
