I just call these Lil Ladies. There is a whole Lil Ladies gang on the top shelf in my studio. Some of them are vases but the rest of them are these tall gals who I initially designed to hold tea lights, but honestly they can hold whatever you want.

Whatever you don't want to forget, whatever is precious to you, little stones, baby teeth, stones that look like baby teeth, finds from the shore, fortunes from cookies, chestnuts you collected while on walks with your long past dog who was your soulmate dog. Or tea lights! Stoic and precious … that's my goal.

Each Lil Lady is hand built stoneware with images etched in using the mishima technique and either inlaid colored slip or underglaze.
